The 6th Annual Dano Memorial golf outing is scheduled for Saturday, September 9 at Woussickett Golf Club in Sandusky, OH. We would like to thank Jeff, John, Cathy and staff at Star Lanes for the excellent job they did hosting our tournament. We’d also like to thank Jim Rogers, Jerry Modic, and Dan Binting for the work they did handling the brackets and jackpot, and the money they raised for the scholarship fund in the process.

We’d like to thank all of the volunteers that helped us sell raffle tickets and raise money for the scholarship fund.

And last but definitely not least, we’d like to thank all of the bowlers who came out and participated. You make these events reality and the scholarship fund wouldn’t be what it is today without you! We look forward to seeing everyone at next year’s tournament, and at this year’s golf scramble (Saturday, September 9 at Woussickett).

This weekend we will be hosting our 5th annual Dano Memorial bowling tournament, and the tournament entry field is packed to the brim. This tournament is held over one weekend and one weekend only, so entries are limited to the capacity of Star Lanes.

We have 24 teams for Saturday’s team event. View the team rosters here.

We will have over 37 doubles teams bowling, with over 75 singles entrants.

Lane assignments will be posted later this week for the entire weekend. There will be a ton going on, as we have handicap and scratch brackets and jackpot, bowling ball raffles, strike jackpot, 50/50 drawings, cash payouts in all three events and cash payouts for scratch and handicap all-events, and much, much more!

Be sure to wear your Lang’s Auto bowling tee (or buy one this weekend if you don’t have one!) and we look forward to seeing everyone at the lanes Saturday for our 1:00 start time. Let’s go “Off the Sheet” for Dano!

The team event for the 5th Annual Dano Memorial bowling tournament, being held on Saturday, April 1 at Star Lanes, is FULL. We will have teams on all 24 lanes for the 5-person team event. We do have a wait list started – so if you’d like to add a team to the wait list, let us know!

For those teams that are on this list (view here) – if you have not submitted your entry form and your money, please do so ASAP!

We are still accepting entry forms for Sunday, April 2’s doubles and singles events.

Each event is $20 per bowler. We will also take walk-in’s on Sunday prior to our start time.

For the weekend, we will have:

• Jackpot and Brackets
• All-Events Titles and payouts for both Scratch and Handicap
• Bowling ball raffles
• 50/50
• Strike Jackpot
• Danny Whammy winner (team event)
• Payouts for every 1 in 4 entries
• USBC Sanction – meaning merit scores will be honored
• $100 bonus for a 300 game or 800 series (1 per bowler max)

The dates for the 5th Annual Dano Memorial Bowling Tournament have been announced. Mark your calendars for the weekend of April 1 and 2. The tournament will once again be held at Star Lanes in Sandusky. Per usual, we will host the 5 person Team event on Saturday, April 1 at 1:00 pm and the Doubles and Singles events on Sunday, April 2 at 11:00 am.

This tournament is USBC certified, but all bowlers are welcome. The tournament is a charity tournament to raise funds for the Danny Lang Memorial Scholarship fund, which award 10 high school student scholarships across 5 schools each and every year!

The fund also supports several local organizations and local charities with annual donations.

Well, once again we are expecting a full field of 40 teams for the 5th Annual Dano Memorial. A special thank you goes out to all the businesses and individuals who sponsored holes, donated prizes, and made general donations.

We are in the process of making final preparations for the outing as we speak.

If you would like to be paired with a specific team let me know, and I will do my best to accommodate you (text me at 419-656-2625).

If you are able, please get your entry fee paid prior to the event. We like to collect the entry fees ahead of the outing as it makes for one less thing we have to worry about that morning! Mail your check in made payable to “The Dano Memorial Fund” for $320.00, or stop by my place and drop it off to us.

Please let us know ASAP if your plans or schedule changes and you will not make the event, as we are on a wait list!

We are now taking team reservations and hole sponsorships for the 5th Annual Dano Memorial golf outing, being held on Saturday, September 10 at Woussickett.

If you submit your entry form and money by July 30, you will receive a $10 per golfer discount – making your entry fee $70 per golfer ($280.00 per team). All teams choosing to pay after July 30 will owe $80.00 per golfer ($320.00 per team).

Hole sponsorships are $125.00 and can be submitted the same way as your entry form.
